Hi! My name is Umme, and I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in French and German. I've spent time living and working in both France and Germany, which gave me the chance to immerse myself in French and German culture, as well as the languages.

I have a BA in Modern Languages from University of Cambridge (Queens' College), where I studied German and Russian with an additional Advanced French course. I'm now studying for a Masters in European Studies at King's College London. I've spent time living and working in Berlin, Nuremberg and Austria, so I am very familiar with German culture as well as German language. I am particularly interested in history, memory and identity studies, but I've also studied translation, literature, film and politics.
