I am in my third at Cambridge University where I read German and Russian. Having originally been admitted to read music, I have extensive experience with the rigour of the Oxbridge entrance process and can offer both subject-specific and general advice to any prospective applicants.
I am also an experienced tutor of foreign languages, particularly German. Whilst tutoring I try to impart a strong knowledge of grammatical and lexical formalities, as well as an understanding of how spoken language frequently departs from these frameworks, which often lacks from language teaching. With my method of teaching, I aim to help my pupils develop an instinctive feel for language as well as a strong grammatical foundation, making it easier for them to access top grades in both oral and written exams, both at school and university level.
