Tom - Cambridge

MB BCHIR in Medicine - University of Cambridge

I am a 5th year medical student at the University of Cambridge. I recently graduated with a strong 2.i class degree in my intercalated BA. At A Level I achieved A* grades in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, alongside maintaining several extracurriculars include rugby, athletics, drama, and studying German. I received offers from 3 different medical schools across a variety of interview formats, and scored in the top 10% of my cohort in both UCAT and BMAT.

While at university, I have conducted neuroscientific research into modelling PTSD, and have been accepted on to nationally and internationally competitive summer internships and training programmes in both Cambridge and Heidelberg.

My plan for the future is to practise as a paediatrician while conducting clinical research. I have a wealth of experience tutoring academic subjects from pre-GCSE through to A-Level, as well as teaching English as a foreign language. I have also advised and coached countless Oxbridge and medical school applicants during my time at university through a variety of initiatives organised by the university, medical society and college. This includes admissions advice and interview preparation and practice.

If you have any questions about my experience, please feel free to contact me at support@doxa.co.uk
