Lauren - Cambridge
BA in Economics - University of Cambridge
Hi, I'm Lauren! I'm a second-year undergraduate studying Economics at Cambridge. I was awarded a 1st in my first-year exams, receiving a Rosemary Murray Scholarship and placing in the top 15% of the cohort. Before university, I achieved four A*s in Economics, Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A Level and an A in AS Level Latin.
I have tutored in Economics, Physics and Latin at various levels and have experience assisting students with all parts of their university applications. Being in only my penultimate year of study, I vividly remember my application process and am up to date on how the process works. This also means that I remember the struggles I faced in applying, allowing me to empathise with any difficulties applicants face, putting me in an excellent position to solve them. I also have experience in advising for essay competitions such as the RES Young Economist of the Year competition, in which I received an honourable mention. I love discussing and explaining economic concepts so I have very much enjoyed all of my tutoring experience.
Beyond my studies, I am a keen sailor and active member of my college choir. After graduation, I am hoping to pursue a career in finance, having now secured an internship in investment banking.
