MA Classics - University of Cambridge
Hi! I am currently undertaking a Master's degree in Classics at Cambridge University, having completed my BA in Classics at Oxford. At undergraduate level I took papers in ancient history, Greek and Roman literature, and ancient and modern philosophy. I won prizes for my academic performance every year, inlcuding an Academic Exhibition. My current research focuses on ancient history, both Greek and Roman. For my MPhil so far I have written essays on Greek medical practitioners and political speeches at Rome. I have a place at Oxford to undertake a PhD there beginning October 2024.
I also have extensive experience tutoring students in Latin and Greek at GCSE and A Level: all my students have successfully achieved the highest grades, with one student scoring a Grade 9 after beginning at Grade 4 level. Beyond this I have also successfully mentored several students during the Oxbridge admissions process, with all receiving offers. I also have experience conducting undergraduate admissions interviews in Classics alongside Cambridge tutors. My experience of my own successful interviews at both Oxford and Cambridge, of the degrees I have completed, of tutoring Oxbridge applicants, and of conducting undergraduate interviews at Cambridge means that I am in an excellent position to advise clients during all stages of the application process, from personal statement all the way through to admissions test, interview, and achieving the required A Level grades.
