BA in Geography - University of Oxford

I’m a finalist at Oxford studying Geography (BA) and have over 200 hours of tutoring experience. I tutor a variety of subjects including Geography, English, and Biology as well as providing advice, tips, and mock interviews with students applying to independent schools and Russell Group universities. I am passionate about building confidence in my students through engaged discussion, encouraging independent thought, and stretching their abilities beyond what is expected in a regular classroom.

At school, I achieved 8 A*s and 2 A’s in my IGCSEs/GCSEs, an A in AS English Lit, and 44 out of 45 points doing the International Baccalaureate. I also entered and won Warwick University’s Global Sustainable Development Essay Competition in 2016.

Having successfully applied to Oxford for a deferred entry place I know how challenging and daunting the process can seem at first, but I firmly believe that developing a core set of skills will help you be as prepared as possible for any application, especially Oxbridge.

At university, I now focus primarily on Human and Environmental Geography. I also enjoy engaging with work on climate change, particularly after my experience working with Defra on domestic climate mitigation as part of the Civil Service Summer Diversity Internship.
