BA in Biological Sciences | DPhil in Biology - Univerity of Oxford

I am a DPhil student at Merton College, Oxford, with broad research interests within the field of animal behaviour, with a special interest in signalling, navigation and cognition. My DPhil research is concerned with the cognitive basis of animal navigation, specifically the role of map representations in long-distance animal navigation.

I recently graduated from my undergraduate degree in 2019, with a First Class degree in Biological Sciences, also from Merton College. I enjoy the opportunity to tutor students, whether at the GCSE (Biology or Maths), A-Level (Biology, Chemistry or Maths) or undergraduate level. In addition, I work as a mentor for biology undergraduates at Merton College, with students able to approach me to discuss issues relating to their academic studies or their plans for the future. Mentoring students through the process of applying to university is something I find especially rewarding, and I hope I can impart my knowledge and experience, as well as challenging students, to help them achieve their full potential.
