Rachel - Oxford

BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics - University of Oxford

I am currently completing my study of Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford. Some of the courses I have chosen to specialise in include statistics as well as quantitative economics. I have a variety of experience within finance beyond my academics and have completed internships with several leading global banks and financial institutions. My passion for politics has led me to a wide range of experiences including working as a consultant at the House of Commons as well as chairing a parliamentary select committee.

I have a large amount of experience tutoring and mentoring students. Recently, I have used my knowledge of the Oxbridge admissions process to mentor prospective students through the admissions period. Before university, I studied Economics, Mathematics and Biology at A level and I have had experience teaching these subjects to A level students as well as a wider range of subjects to students at GCSE level. I have helped students prepare for exams that schools are often less prepared to help with such as university admissions exams and tests for those applying to internships. I am keen to advise students and create a plan that is tailored to each student taking into account their strengths and weaknesses in order to help them achieve their goals.
