I am a 6th year medical student currently studying at New College, Oxford University. I have been tutoring for over 5 years, since my first year at university. My teaching style can be tailored to the student, but I think it is important to keep sessions engaging and interactive. To do this I work through questions and examples with my students, quiz them to test their knowledge and continuously review areas of weakness throughout our sessions, such as by getting a student to explain complicated concepts to me to check understanding. I regularly keep in contact with my students to check their progress and ensure my lessons can be modified to suit their current needs.
I have experience tutoring GCSE, A-level and university level including Oxbridge interview preparation, personal statement writing and helping with admissions tests for university. My areas of expertise are chemistry, biology and medicine university interviews and admissions tests. I have helped many of my students secure the grades they hoped for and a place at their chosen university, including at Oxford and Cambridge.
