Hi, I'm Nikolay. I'm in my second year of my BA in Mathematics at Christ Church, Oxford. After my BA, I intend to pursue academia further by completing a Master’s in Theoretical Physics. I have extensive experience in delivering tailored tutorials at both secondary school and university level. I also enjoy informally discussing Maths and Physics with my friends.
My main passion is thinking deeply and fundamentally about the world. Discussing Maths and Physics with friends is an important part of my life and I often think about how an idea can best be explained. I know exams can be stressful, so I strive to make the learning process exciting for the student.
I obtained A* grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-Level, and I gained a distinction in my first year university examinations. I scored 75 in the MAT.
I have a great passion for learning and enjoy reading Quanta articles daily. I love reading books about Biology, Economics, Politics and sci-fi. I dream about contributing to a bright future in which people explore space, use AI, harness energy from nuclear fusion and thrive thanks to other innovations. I’m currently teaching myself programming independently and plan to get some experience in the industry. I love playing tennis and attend a debating club at Oxford Union.

Standing out requires thinking on your feet whilst conveying enthusiasm and the ability to learn quickly from their hints when you (inevitably) get stuck. These skills will be learnt and reinforced through mock interviews.
Sixth Term Examination (STEP) Training & Maths Admissions Test (MAT) Training
The entrance exams all need rigorous preparation to earn top grades. I intend to set a good number of problems for each tutorial to improve distinct areas of mathematical thinking, master new techniques and ultimately build confidence for the exams.
