A timeline of what you should be doing each academic year for the best chances of success.
Year 12
January - May
Study for SAT, SAT Subject Tests and ACT.
June - August
Take SAT, Subject Tests, and ACT. Request teacher references. College essay submission for review. Shortlist University choices.
Year 13
September - October
Retake SAT, Subject Tests, and ACT. Request end of year 12 reports. Submit applications.
November
By the 1st of November submit applications.
November - February
Schedule interviews. Submit all non-common applications. Submit all additional applications supplements.
March
By 1st of Match decide which University you will attend.
March - May
Submit year 13 end of year reports. Submit additional documentation required.
June - August
Apply for student visa. Pre departure checklist. Freshman orientation.
