I'm Xian, a Cambridge Undergraduate student reading Psychological and Behavioural Sciences. After receiving five A stars at A level I successfully applied and now am in my second year of my degree, so far having studied Human and Biological Anthropology as optional papers, as well as core papers covering research methods and neuroscience, offering an engaging view into what good science and strong critical analysis looks like, as well as a more human side of psychology including measures of social intelligence and decision making. I also have experience of R programming which will be critical on the PBS and Natural sciences courses.
I've benefitted from my director of studies also being the interviewer, and so the scientific mindset cultivated by him is directly applicable to the interview processes. I can offer insight into how studies should be unpicked, and have a strong grasp of how Cambridge issues and expects information to be handled once you are accepted onto a course. I've also had experience tutoring across language barriers and cultures including teaching safety critical standards to large groups - I always make sure everyone grasps content in their own way, leaving no stone unturned.
I guarantee our sessions will help start you thinking with the so called Cambridge brain, and allow you to impress others not only with your knowledge, but also your thinking skills so that you can excel in any field you begin in.
I have taught Philosophy4Children sessions in early years and assisted in reading classes for English as a Second Language students at GCSE and A Level. I also have a CPD certificate in Developing Leadership.
