Udaya - UCL

BEng Mechanical Engineering - University College London

Hello! I'm Udaya, a Mechanical Engineering undergraduate student at UCL. I'm very passionate about my course and have always enjoyed supporting students and friends around me.

Over the past year, I have been a mentor at MechSpace, UCL's exclusive Mechanical Engineering Lab. I help mentor students varying from first-years to fourth-years, supporting them in learning to use high technology machines and guiding them with their engineering projects.

Over this summer, I have been accepted for a summer studentship with a professor at UCL, where I will be working on developing an advanced control concept for future decarbonized energy systems. I also own a patent for a hydrogen generation system for electric vehicles.

Being an international student, I am aware of all the difficulties that we go through during the application process, and I would love to make it smoother and simpler for overseas applicants. I have the personal experience and understanding of the process and how to craft a successful application.

I take a student-led approach to tutoring, tailoring the lessons to what each individual student needs and is most interested in. I will help you explore Mechanical Engineering and support you in finding your own specific interests and engage with those topics in greater depth. I am familiar with MATLAB, Python and CAD, and would be able to help introduce a student to such software and programming language.
