I’m in my final year studying History and English at Oxford University, specialising in African History and Gender Studies. Prior to this, I studied English Literature (A*), History (A), and Maths (A) at A-Level. I have experience in supporting students from state schools and access backgrounds with their applications to Oxford; in admissions tests, application essays, personal statements, and interviews. I’ve worked closely with the Academic and Admissions Offices of my college during my role as a student representative, so I understand the ins and outs of Oxford applications and how to best approach them. I have substantial experience in reading and writing personal statements and providing mock interviews.

I also have a variety of tutoring experiences at A-Level and GCSE. My areas of specialism are History and English language and Literature at both GCSE and A-Level. During various voluntary roles as an Academic Mentor, I acquired rewarding experiences working with A-level students, accumulating to over 200 hours.

As a tutor, I’m passionate about expanding and drawing on the interests of the student, to adapt to how they best learn and develop. I like to create a comfortable working environment where the student might thrive. I'm passionate about education and am enthusiastic about the subjects I tutor.

If you have any questions about my experience, please feel free to contact me at support@doxa.co.uk.
