I'm a fourth year chemist studying at the University of Oxford, completing my Master's research project in inorganic catalysis, developing catalysts for copolymerisation processes with carbon dioxide. I am particularly interested in sustainable chemistry, and hope to continue a career in chemical research that can create change for the better, on a global scale.
I obtained 4 A* s at A Level in chemistry, physics, maths and music, all 9s/A* s at GCSE, and have extensive tutoring experience from secondary school science, through to GCSE, A Level and preparation for university, including Oxbridge Applications.
I was a tutor during COVID-19. I worked one-on-one online with primary school children, providing science work where there schools were only giving English & maths resources, including making work sheets, marking written work and preparing more creative tasks to try engage the children as much as possible.
GCSE & A-Level Science Tutor (self-employed)- providing one-on-one tuition for chemistry and physics work. Taking specific questions and topics, and working through problems in tutoring sessions, as well as helping with class work.
Personal statement & university admissions advisor- working with my previous secondary school, providing help on applications to prospective Oxbridge candidates, specifically for chemistry.
As your tutor, I will aim to help you develop key problem solving and analytical skills required to tackle complicated scientific problems, and particularly for Oxbridge candidates, help you develop confidence in your own chemical knowledge and ability in applying it to the complex problems that you will come up against at interview and throughout your degree.
