BA in Natural Sciences - University of Cambridge

rebekah.jpg

I am reading Natural Sciences at Queens’ College in Cambridge, currently studying Cell and Developmental Biology, Plant and Microbial Sciences, and Neuroscience; having just completed a year of both Biological and Physical Natural Sciences. I took Natural Sciences at Cambridge due to my both passionate and wide interest in the sciences and love of passing on this passion to all students of all sciences.

Coming from an inner-city state-school background, I went through all the difficulties of applying to Oxbridge with limited guidance from my school. This has spurred a strong belief that people from all backgrounds should, and more importantly, can come to Oxbridge.

I have an extensive background in teaching from my time working with disadvantaged young people as a teacher in Bolivia. In the UK I have worked in various schools in my local area and currently work on outreach projects with the Cambridge access program, to support and advise prospective students.

Preparing and doing my interview through Skype in a different country has meant I have developed a great bank of knowledge to share on the ins and outs of the application process (including how to get away with doing your interview in your pyjamas!).

If you have any questions about my experience, please feel free to contact me at support@doxa.co.uk
