Hi there! My name is Nandita and I graduated from Hertford College, Oxford, with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I am a confident and experienced tutor, having now amassed over 100 hours of teaching alongside my job on the Civil Service Fast Stream.

As an applicant who was repeatedly given erroneous advice about both PPE and Oxford (and even told not to apply), I can personally relate to how intimidating and stressful the whole application procedure can sometimes be. The aim of my sessions is to mitigate this as much as possible, by debunking Oxford myths and building that crucial interview confidence.

In my experience, the best way to do this is through rigorous preparation and practice: my sessions will be structured in a similar fashion to an Oxford tutorial, with pre-reading material that you will cover in your degree. I’m a firm believer that familiarity breeds confidence, and the realisation that you might have some very thoughtful points to make about philosophical theories, for example, makes the idea of studying such a prestigious degree far less daunting! I will also give you ongoing feedback on how you build and articulate your arguments, both verbally and orally, identifying your natural strengths and areas we can work on together. Furthermore, as lessons should always be enjoyable, I am delighted to incorporate areas of personal interest and keep everything relevant by critiquing current affairs and political discourse.
