I am currently studying medicine on the University of Oxford Graduate Entry Programme. Prior to this, I completed a DPhil (PhD) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Oxford, an MSc in Clinical Embryology at Oxford, and a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry at Carleton University, Canada. I am an accredited Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy with a certification in Higher Education teaching.
I have eight years of experience teaching and tutoring both at the undergraduate and master's level in a variety of science subjects. I provide advice on university applications, interview preparation, CV writing, essay writing, academic/research papers, and BSc/MSc/PhD-level thesis writing. As a mentor, I work to achieve a true understanding of concepts from first principles to promote deeper learning rather than memorisation of superficial concepts. Additionally, I like to emphasise the importance of effective communication which can be particularly challenging in the fields of science and medicine.
