I am currently in 4th year of Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Prior to commencing my degree, I completed a BSc in Biochemistry from University College Dublin and a PhD in Neuroscience from Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland with a thesis on MicroRNAs mediating apoptosis in the mouse central nervous system.

I undertook my postdoctoral research in stem cell biology in the Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York where I was investigating genes important to medium spiny neuron differentiation and examining the role of medium spiny neurons in Huntington’s disease therapeutics
