My name is Hassan and I am currently studying at the University of Cambridge, completing my third and final year of Economics. In both my first and second years, I achieved first-class grades and received multiple Academic scholarships and prizes for academic excellence. I have experience with statistical software STATA, achieving a first-class grade in a data-driven project in second year. Prior to attending Cambridge, I achieved four A* grades in Further Maths, Maths, Physics and Chemistry for A-Levels at a leading UK grammar school, Ilford County.
I have been tutoring for 5 years now, providing support for students of a variety of ages, from 11+ through to GCSE, A-Level, and degree-level tuition. Most recently, I have been focusing on Oxbridge entrance tutoring, supporting students with their personal statement, exploration of university level topics, TMUA preparation and mock interviews. Using a Cambridge-proven teaching style, I encourage students to explore their ideas and to 'think out-loud' to guide them to the right path. Oxbridge interviews focus on how students approach unfamiliar concepts and problems, and with guidance, work towards a solution. I embody this approach in my teaching style so students are familiar with this system and are ready to tackle any problem that comes their way!
