Hi, I am Emrys and would like to take this opportunity to explain a little about myself to you. I have over 4 years of tuition experience, starting out as a student while reading B.A. Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford, this became a full-time profession when I graduated in 2016.
Over the past 4 years, I have provided tuition internationally to students from Dubai, China, Canada, Taiwan and Pakistan. Through this I have a wealth of experience offering support for Oxford applicants, providing help with interviews and the TSA, where I managed to achieve a personal score of 80+ which is considered exceptional.
As a tutor, I thoroughly enjoy working with students taking a positive approach to helping struggling learners and pushing my students the extra mile. For Oxford applications, I have learnt to understand that even the most capable students often don’t understand what the application process is designed to test for. While these students often have all the correct skills, they need to understand how to demonstrate this. This is particularly the case when a student comes from a school that lacks the appropriate network to provide them with good advice.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, live comedy, hiking, loose leaf tea and painting model miniature Napoleonic figures. While a student I took part in a variety of extracurricular activities, even working to found a new student society.
