BA in Human, Social, and Political Sciences - University of Cambridge

I strongly believe that interdisciplinarity is the future of research. Therefore, I encourage students to ask themselves: What inspires you? What are the different ways we can look at X? How can we combine the research of Y and Z to your topic X?

I initially interviewed and completed a year of BA Music at the University of Cambridge, with a performance module.
I subsequently switched to BA(Hons) Social Anthropology (part of the Human, Social, and Political Sciences Tripos) and graduated in 2023. Here, I specialised in Inner Asia; morality and ethics; power, economy, and social transformation; philosophy of science (epistemology and metaphysics); social and developmental psychology; and the anthropology of religion, politics, economy, and kinship. I completed an undergraduate dissertation (10,000 words) on a contemporary ritual practice in northern Italy where I temporarily lived and studied with local people (i.e., ethnography).

I am now completing my MPhil Biological Sciences at the University of Cambridge where I am looking at ritual synchrony from the perspectives of psychology and neuroscience. I aim to become an interdisciplinary researcher and professor working at the forefront of psychology, neuroscience, and social and evolutionary anthropology to uncover the facets of religious and ritual phenomena.
