I read History of Art as an undergraduate at Christ Church, University of Oxford between 2012-2015, during which time I enjoyed internship opportunities at Hatfield House, Stowe House and Christ Church’s own unique Picture Gallery. While I love art, I came to realise that I love buildings more, so I diversified, recently completing a postgraduate degree in Spatial Planning with Urban Conservation at the University of Dundee. I am now employed as a private-sector Planning Consultant.

I have informally tutored some younger friends from my school who were interested in applying to Oxbridge; I gained further experience of tutelage while at Dundee, where I taught an Urban Planning access course to a class of mostly teenagers who were all at pre-university stage.

All I would require from my tutees is enthusiasm – art will dominate at least three years of your life at university, so it helps to be interested in it. However, you certainly aren’t expected to have advanced knowledge of art history, or even to have studied it before – you’ll develop this knowledge at university!

I enjoy reading, baking (my chocolate brownies enjoy an excellent reputation) and visiting historic buildings; I am currently also taking a furniture-making course.

If you have any questions about my experience, please feel free to contact me at support@doxa.co.uk.
