Hello! My name is Chimdi and I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2023, having studied Theology and Religion. I am now in Law school studying towards my professional qualifications.
At IB, I achieved 44 points overall, with 777 HL (English Literature, Economics and History) and 776 SL (Mathematical studies, Spanish, Environmental science). I achieved an A in my extended essay in History, exploring the impact of Nazi Germany on youth culture in the 1940s.
Beyond my studies, I enjoy sports from boxing to rugby and athletics. During my time at university I was on the University Athletics team (Blues) and I am currently top 10 all time for both my events - Shot putt and discus.
I have over 7 years experience of tutoring, teaching and working with young people. I have a wealth of experience teaching/mentoring with charities such as the Coronavirus Tutoring Initiative (CTI) and organisations such as the University of Oxford's Admissions and Outreach department, Target Oxbridge, Explore Learning and Elite IB.
I offer Religious Studies, English Literature and Language and History lessons at GCSE, IB and A-level level. I also teach Maths and English KS1, KS2 and KS3, in addition to 11+ and 13+ English, Maths, NVR and VR.
I also offer offer University Application support for UK and international students to UK and US universities.
In our lessons, we will work through your concerns whether it be exam technique, challenging areas of your subject or wanting to be stretched and challenged. Having been a tutor for 7 years, it is important based on my experience that every session is designed to fit student’s needs and is enjoyable. As part of this, I am to make learning fun but also practical, incorporating exam practice, range of media and activities, as well as weekly progress reviews to make sure that we remain on track for your goals.
