BA/MA Music - University of Oxford
Upon graduating in 2016 with a Bachelor’s in Music from Christ Church, Oxford, I subsequently went to teach at Magdalen College School, Oxford, for a year. Whilst there, I taught curricular music lessons to all ages and particularly focused on supporting bright Music students in Sixth Form with their Oxbridge applications.
I returned to Christ Church in 2017 for a Masters’ in Music to further my knowledge in the subject, as well as carry out some original research of my own. I have tutored privately for 2 years, providing assistance with A-Level music composition and academics, and also teach piano, helping students with ABRSM exams. I believe strongly in nurturing the student’s own perspectives on the subject through discussion; this is doubly important in Music, a subject which is very subjective and open to interpretation. My approach is thus open-minded and unique to each individual, encouraging them to explore their own opinions whilst simultaneously challenging them to reach their full potential.
In my spare time I am a semi-professional pianist, as well as a keen football, badminton and squash player.
