BA in Mathematics - University of Cambridge

Hello, my name is John and I have recently completed my undergraduate degree at King’s College Cambridge studying mathematics, specialising in theoretical physics. Whilst my interests have concentrated on the applied side as I've progressed, all aspects of mathematics have been a large part of my life since I was at school, and I look forward to helping people who may be just starting their exploration into this beautiful subject.

My teaching style focuses on cultivating solid understanding and perseverance, as well as stretching students to achieve things they perhaps thought they couldn't, which I believe is the most rewarding way of studying mathematics. Having performed strongly on both the MAT and STEP, as well as having experience helping others through the application process, I am well placed to share my expertise on how to perform well on these exams and prepare students for the different flavour of mathematics that university offers.

I have run multiple sessions at my secondary school (Oxted School) for potential applicants to Oxbridge, including mock interview sessions and STEP preparation. I have also prepared classes for the most able mathematicians using Olympiad style and more proof-based questions in order to better prepare them for university mathematics.
