Hi! I’m Ellie and I recently graduated with a first-class degree in Spanish & Linguistics from The Queen’s College, Oxford, during which I was twice awarded the Laming Exhibition for academic excellence. I have a real passion for language and really look forward to sharing my knowledge on the subject and application process.
I have mentored several students in their Oxford applications and have worked as a university ambassador at several open days, so I’m very aware of just how daunting and complex it can be. In my tutoring, I focus on problem-solving and thinking under pressure. I think it’s vital to find the fun in language, as I believe that showing love for the subject is one of the key factors of a successful application.
I’m particularly interested in semantics, pragmatics and sociolinguistics, and in my free time I love to read, crochet and go on sunny walks!
