BA in Law (Jurisprudence) - University of Oxford

I graduated from the University of Oxford with First Class Honours in Law (Jurisprudence), receiving numerous academic prizes throughout my degree for best results in the year and outstanding academic performance. I performed particularly well at private law subjects, such as Contract, Tort, Trusts, Land Law and Commercial Law.

Following graduation, I was invited to take up the prestigious role of Lecturer in Law at the University of Oxford for the 2021/22 academic year. I have extensive experience successfully tutoring in law and essay writing skills, with tutees reporting marked improvements in grades and understanding of the law. My tutoring draws on my familiarity with the Oxbridge tutorial style of teaching, and combines it with a more grounded focus on clarity and structure, to ensure that difficult concepts are conveyed clearly and that students can take away actual concrete steps for improvement.

I have also had great success mentoring students on their university applications, personal statements and Oxbridge interviews. The effectiveness of my tutoring is enhanced by the unique insight I have gained from being on the interviewing panel in addition to being a successful applicant. As an applicant some years ago, I successfully applied to the competitive law programs of Oxford, LSE, UCL, KCL and Durham. As an interviewer, I have first-hand insight on what interviewers look for in applications and interviews, and I work with prospective applicants to bring out their best qualities and stand out from the crowd while remaining authentic.
