Hi, I'm Andre. I'm currently studying Artificial Intelligence at UCL, but last year I graduated from Part III Maths at Homerton College, Cambridge. I was very pleased to have achieved S (Outstanding) grades in the Cambridge Maths STEP Exams as well as graduating my final year with Distinction, so I am confident in being able to give good advice when it comes to exam preparation!
I have had the privilege of tutoring many students over a wide variety of levels from GCSE to MAT preparation and undergraduate study, with well over 200 hours of experience. Coming from a mathematical family, communicating my subject has always been of great importance to me, and I consider myself to be energetic and supportive. I know how daunting entrance exams can be and so I strive to be as encouraging as possible in order to help passionate students flourish. I can also offer support with Maths tuition at any age, having achieved 13 A*/As in my GCSEs and A* grades for Maths and Further Maths at A-Level.
My areas of interest are in pure mathematics as well as statistics and machine learning, and I am proficient in coding in Python, which I taught myself during my A-Levels. I received high marks in my computational mathematics (CATAM) projects, where we had to implement efficient algorithms in order to solve difficult computational problems. If these things are of interest to you, I'd be delighted to discuss them! In the future, I intend to pursue academia further and continue on to do a PhD.
