PhD History of Art - Stanford University | BA/MA History of Art - University of Oxford

Altair Doxa.jpeg

I read History of Art at Wadham College, University of Oxford, from 2015-18 and graduated with a first-class degree. I am currently studying for a master’s degree in art history at Christ Church. Beginning in September 2019, I am studying at Stanford University for my PhD in twentieth-century British art history.

I was a recipient of the Lloyds Scholars scholarship while an undergraduate and throughout my time at Oxford I have been involved in student journalism. I have also been the assistant curator at Campion Hall and worked on development and fundraising for Castle Blatna in the Czech Republic.

Having come from a state school, I understand how difficult and daunting applying to elite universities can appear. I have given classes at my old school on the Oxbridge application process and I’ve tutored friends on composing personal statements and essay writing. I believe enthusiasm and a desire to learn are enough for any Mentee to reach their potential – I just want to help steer you in the right direction for you to achieve your goals. I enjoy a diverse array of pleasures, from visiting galleries to photography, writing fiction, and classic Hollywood cinema.
