Annabelle - NYU
PhD in French Literature - New York University | BA in French and German - University of Oxford
Hello, I'm Annabelle! I am currently working towards a PhD in French Literature at New York University. Prior to this, I completed my undergraduate studies in French and German at Oxford in 2017 and spent a year working for a tutoring agency in Paris.
While at Oxford, I acted as Chair of the Junior Consultative Committee to the Oxford Modern Languages Faculty, representing the undergraduate body at faculty meetings, and I am looking to involve myself in the administration of the French Department here at NYU too, so I have developed a pretty clear picture of what admissions departments want! I am also currently teaching French to undergraduates as a Language Instructor.
In my free time, I am a keen museum-/concert-/restaurant-goer, always on the go, especially in New York. I understand the challenges of applying as an overseas student, but the experience of studying abroad has been more rewarding than I could ever have imagined.
