At Doxa our tutors do more than just teach; we understand that our reputation relies on providing the best possible ongoing support for our students. We are mentors as well as tutors.
We expect all our Mentors to have recent experience of the application procedure. In addition, we expect our Mentors to go above and beyond to help our students.
Our innovative online booking system enables both students and Mentors to have maximum flexibility. You get to choose when you want to have lessons booked, using an online calendar. You will never have a lesson booked when you’re not available. In addition, we have no minimum hours requirement; most of our Mentors are not full time tutors. We appreciate other experiences can complement rather than detract from teaching.
We aim to build their critical thinking and communication skills at all steps, to ensure our students increase their chances of success at every stage. We never blindly send personal statements back with comments; we talk through changes and recommendations improving students core competencies, as well as their submitted work.
Doxa’s most important asset are their mentors; we have a strong and vibrant teaching community who works with us, not for us.
We vet all our Mentors and applications are extremely competitive. We only take the best; we interview all before listing them on the marketplace and vet them before interview stage.
