Disability & Special Circumstances Support
Support is available and easily accessible
Although Oxbridge can sometimes seem detached and perhaps even overwhelming, support is on-hand for any issues regarding disability or any special circumstances you may face. Tutors and colleges go out of their way to ensure you can study at your college of choice, no matter your disability or circumstance. All they care about is your passion for your subject and your ability to learn. Nevertheless, we understand that this information isn't always easily accessible or obvious, so offer a service where mentors can help direct students towards the support and resources they need. In addition, our mentors can help guide you through the process, to ensure it works best for you.
What we can do
Mentors provide information on available support in an easy to understand manner. In addition, they can advise you on the best course of action to get you through the process as easily and comfortably as possible. Furthermore, they can advise on applicable support from colleges.
We always recommend you talk to the university as well, to ensure you get all the support you need. However, we aim to make that process as easy and accessible as possible; our Mentors are experienced in access, disability and extenuating circumstances support to ensure you get the best possible advice from them. Furthermore, during the session we will provide you with other sources of relevant and insightful information you can read through in your own time. Mentors send written feedback for the session after it takes place, to ensure that you have a copy of everything discussed that you can revisit in your own time.
One to One and Classes
Doxa provides classes and one to one tuition; all tutorials are an hour long.
This is a discounted service, charged at a lower rate than our other services.
Classes provide an overall introduction to support available at different colleges and best resources around to compliment their advice. In addition, Mentors will answer any specific questions you might have about this support. For our full list of classes please see below.
One to One support can be found by clicking on our Mentors below. Mentors will ensure you have all the information and resources you need. In addition, they provide their own advice to ensure you have the support you need throughout your application. One to one support tends to be naturally more tailored and more detailed than class support.
